Finally a 13 game slate! We have a PLETHORA of options when creating this week 13 draftkings lineup. I love having all the teams on the slate, it makes things so much more fun. We have the Chiefs taking on the Raiders, we have Cam Newton and Co. heading to Tampa Bay. Last week was a super high scoring DFS slate and I think we beat it this week. Let’s get it guys.
Patrick Mahomes (7600) KC @ OAK
It’s Patrick Mahomes guys, at 7600 you’re still getting a bargain. The same Patrick Mahomes coming off a 6 TD, 44 point fantasy day. Going up against a defense that gave up a 151.9 passer rating to Nick Mullens. The Raiders have zero pass rushers, limited play makers, and the only thing to worry about here is Mahomes only playing a few quarters in an absolute blowout.
Cam Newton (6600) CAR @ TB
Cam Newton is as consistent of a fantasy quarterback as you’ll find, always hovering around the 24 FPPG mark. This Tampa Bay team is next level bad when it comes to stopping opposing offenses. Two weeks ago Eli Manning was 18/19 at one point against them. Cam Newton has a blossoming young receiver in DJ Moore, and one of the most dangerous weapons in Christian McCaffrey. His always high rushing floor (63 rushing yards last week) gives him the chance to be QB1 on any given slate. I think Cam has an awesome game this week coming off a tough loss.
Aaron Rodgers (6200) GB vs ARI
Statistically this has been one of the worst years we’ve seen from Aaron Rodgers. But, he still has the weapons and still has the talent. This is all about the matchup. The Cardinals just squared off against Philip Rivers and got annihilated. Philip Rivers started the game 25/25 and ended 28/29 breaking 2 records in the process. GB is coming off a tough loss, and Aaron Rodgers has had his best games against weak defenses so far this season. Lock in 2 Davante Adams touchdown receptions this week.
Kirk Cousins (5500) MIN @ NE
Quietly, Kirk Cousins has been a better fantasy quarterback this season than Aaron Rodgers. Averaging 22.3 FPPG, his $5500 price tag is far too cheap in a good matchup against New England. Cousins could easily throw 40+ times in this game and I think is a lock for 20+ fantasy points. Kirk is my favorite value at Quarterback this week.
Christian McCaffrey (8800) CAR @ TB
Best fantasy performance of the year goes to.. (*drum roll*) Christian McCaffrey! Sunday morning I made the best decision of my life to change from James Conner and Gus Edwards (who performed well) to Josh Adams and CMC. CMC torched Seattle for 125 rushing yards, 11 catches for 112 yards and 2 touchdowns. He put on an absolute clinic. CMC is one of the best weapons in all of football, and being showcased like a true workhorse in this offense has led to a 25.3 FPPG season so far for the stud RB. The matchup couldn’t be any better, with McCaffrey getting the Bucs who he dusted for 32.7 points and 2 touchdowns just a few weeks ago. McCaffrey has scored 32+ in 3 of his last 4 and he is my highest raw projected player on this slate.
Kareem Hunt (7800) KC @ OAK
Over 181 carries this season, Kareem Hunt has averaged a crazy 4.55 YPA rushing the ball. The Raiders are allowing 4.9 YPA this season, and 5.1 YPA over the last 3 games. Hunt is an absolute steal at 7800 in this matchup and will be in all my lineups. Not much more to say.
Philip Lindsay (5400) DEN @ CIN
32 teams are looking pretty dumb right now for letting Phillip Lindsay go undrafted. Coming off his best rushing performance of the year, Lindsay ripped off 110 yards rushing against a tough Steelers run defense. Lindsay has reached 20+ fantasy points in 3 of his last 4 games and this week takes on a very forgiving Bengals defense that is just reeling right now. Lindsay is second in the league averaging 6.24 YPA. He’s an incredible runner that plays with a next level burst and speed.
Chris Carson (5200) SEA vs SF
The Seahawks aren’t messing around this year, they want to run the ball. Seattle has the most run heavy offense in the league, and does not go away from that regardless of the matchup. This matchup is actually a favorable one, for the solid run blocking unit and Chris Carson. The 49ers can be run on, and Seattle should control this game. Carson dominates touches when he’s healthy and has a good chance of seeing 20 rushing attempts in this matchup. At 5200, that volume is phenomenal.
Gus Edwards (4800) BAL @ ATL
Who? Edwards burst on the scene 2 weeks ago, when Lamar Jackson get the start. The UDFA has looked awesome in his two games in the feature role for the Ravens, averaging 5.8 YPC and topping 100 yards in both games. More impressively, Edwards has averaged 20 attempts, and the Ravens seem intent on being a ferocious running attack. That works perfectly for this week. The Ravens head to Atlanta to take on a Falcons team that has surrendered 5.1 YPC so far this season. Ride the Gus Bus this week.
Adam Thielen (8000) MIN @ NE
He’s back! After 2 surprising slow games for Adam Thielen, he came back into form posting 125 yards and a TD on 9 targets. The WR1 is averaging 26 FPPG and is set to face off with a New England team allowing 381 passing yards per game. This could be a shootout. I love me a nice Cousins-Thielen stack this week.
Davante Adams (7900) GB vs ARI
Can we put some respect on my man’s name? There might not be another WR1 that is this good, that gets talked about less than Davante Adams. 77-1022-10 through 11 games this season. He’s 5th in the league at the position this season, only trailing Thielen, Tyreek Hill, Julio, and Michael Thomas. He is an absolute stud, the clear cut WR1 on an Aaron Rodgers led offense. He should feast against the Cards.
Kenny Golladay (6700) DET vs LAR
We don’t have any news yet regarding Marvin Jones at the time of me writing this article, but it isn’t looking great for his availability this Sunday. Golladay has seen 36 targets over the last 3 games, and the Rams have gotten torched by outside WR’s. Golladay is a super value at his price this week.
DJ Moore (5600) CAR @ TB
DJ Moore has arrived! Topping 90 yards receiving for the third time in the last 3 games, Moore is looking every bit like the best rookie WR in this class, deserving as being the first WR selected. Cam has grown to trust Moore across the middle, as well as outside 1 on 1 against a CB. The matchup couldn’t be better than against the Bucs this week. I think Moore uses his 4.42 40-yard dash time and takes a big play to the house this week. It’s important to monitor the health of Devin Funchess and Torrey Smith heading into this game. If Moore is the clear-cut WR1 again, this is a no-brainer.
Keke Coutee (4700) HOU vs CLE
Coutee is finally off the injury report after dealing with that nagging hamstring injury over the better part of the last month. Coming off a game where he led his team in targets (this article is being written on Monday morning, ahead of Coutee’s Week 12 game) the concern of Demaryius Thomas taking targets away from him is gone. Coutee is an excellent threat in the slot, and teams have to focus all their attention on Deandre Hopkins (and rightfully so.) The Browns have allowed plenty of yards through the air so far this year, and the slot is a great place to attack them.
Curtis Samuel (3900) CAR @ TB
Yes, I love the Panthers offense this week in a bounce back matchup vs the Bucs. But Samuel has scored 4 touchdowns in the last 4 games and is only $3900. The Panthers are doing everything they can to get this guy touches, and he’s doing the most with them. Torrey Smith ran ahead of Samuel but had 0 targets. This is a big play guy, at Punt player pricing.
Marcell Ateman (3600) OAK vs KC
Opportunity is key for these sub-4k wide receivers. And no one is getting more than Marcell Ateman, a 7th round pick coming off a 10 target game. No one in the Raiders offense even had more than 5 besides Ateman. The matchup is great against a team that should be ahead early, forcing Oakland to play from behind and abandon the run. If i can see 8-9 targets for 3600 I’m taking it. Love the value here.
Rob Gronkowski (5400) NE vs MIN
After missing a month of games, Gronk came back for the Patriots last week and saw 7 targets, reaching the end zone for the first time since Week 1. This is a fair value for a somewhat healthy Gronk at home in what could become a shootout. First time Gronk makes our lists this season but I really like him this week.
Greg Olsen (4100) CAR @ TB
Last time out against TB, Olsen caught 6 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown. The matchup is phenomenal, I love the Panthers this week, Olsen is solid at 4100. There are two guys cheaper than him this week that I do prefer, however.
Cameron Brate (3700) TB vs CAR
Cameron Brate guys. I don’t know about the ladies, but Jameis loves him. With OJ Howard gone for the rest of the year, Brate will be my TE of choice for as long as he remains under 4K. The matchup couldn’t be better either, as Carolina has been the worst team against tight ends so far this season.
Kyle Rudolph (3600) MIN @ NE
Watching the Sunday night game, it felt like Rudolph was the only player getting targets for the Vikings. That makes 12 targets over the last 2 weeks, and with Cousins throwing the ball 40+ times per game this season, it keeps Rudolph very viable at $3600. I think this is a shootout on Sunday and wan plenty of Vikings.
Very weird week where all the defenses I like are playing on the road. Don’t look too much into that though, let’s focus on the matchups, because those are very interesting this week.
Chicago Bears (3300) CHI @ NYG
I think the Bears are an obvious choice against the Eli led Giants. This team is scoring 13 FPPG and Eli has not been protected well this year. This could be an easy 15+ point game from Chicago’s defense.
Kansas City Chiefs (2500) KC @ OAK
Oakland Raiders are bad. KC is actually putting up solid points as a DST and at 2500 I think that’s a no-brainer
Los Angeles Rams (2600) LAR @ DET
The Lions can’t protect the QB and now Aaron Donald comes to town? I feel very bad for Matthew Stafford this week.
